Camiseta
Today’s DiY is very functional, have you ever shrunk a T-shirt after washing it? This happened to me with a Primark sweater and it was a pity because I had only used it twice… So in this DiY I change it into a T-shirt, by butting its sleeves I extend its life ;) I wanted to wear it in Belgium but it was too hot, but I’ll show it to you on the blog in another occasion. Hope you’ll like it!
El DiY de hoy es totalmente funcional, ¿alguna vez os ha encogido una prenda tras lavarla? Esto fue lo que me pasó con una sudadera de Primark y me fastidió mucho porque la había utilizado sólo en un par de ocasiones… Por lo que este DiY la transformo en una camiseta, acortándole las mangas le alargo la vida ;) Pensaba utilizarla en mi viaje por Bélgica pero al tener un poco de forrito por dentro daba demasiado calor, pero os la enseñaré por el blog más adelante. Espero que os guste!

Esta era la apariencia inicial de la camiseta.
Step 1. Dare to cut the sleeves! I like having another t-shirt as reference to do this. To cut the same quantity of fabric, a good way is by placing the first sleeve which you’ve cut as reference.
Paso 1. Cortar las mangas, sin miedo!! Para ello a mí me gusta tomar referencia de otra camiseta de la que me guste, en este caso, el largo de sus mangas. Para que queden iguales podemos coger el trozo cortado y ponerlo de referencia en la otra.
Step 2. I wasn’t painstaking cutting the sleeves because I wanted to bend them twice inwards in the outside of the garment.
Paso 2. No tuve demasiado cuidado al cortarla porque mi intención era doblar el borde de la manga 2 veces hacia dentro por la parte exterior de la prenda.
Step 3. To cheer it up a little, I painted some studs with the same colors the tee has in its message. In the beginning I thought about placing more studs, but in the end 3 in each sleeve looked like enough.
Paso 3. Para darle un toque de gracia, pinté con pintauñas unas tachuelas de los colores que tiene la camiseta en el mensaje. Pensaba poner más tachuelas, pero finalmente con 3 por manga quedaba menos sobrecargada.
Step 4. Finally a few stitches between the folded fabric and the T-shirt, so that the sleeves won’t unfold with the use or washing it.
Paso 4. Por último unas puntadas entre la tela doblada y la camiseta, para que las mangas no se desdoblen con el uso o los lavados.
Result. A tee to use in chilly days that with any doubt would have never been used again without this DiY. ¿Do you cut the sleeves of your T-shirts if they get short?
Resultado. Una camiseta para utilizar en días un poco fresquitos, pero que sin ninguna duda sin este DiY no hubiese vuelto a utilizar. ¿Os animáis a cortar las mangas de alguna prenda que se os queda corta?
