Falda trompeta
Hace poco hablábamos de las faldas peplum y trompeta (aquí). Finalmente me animé a crear mi falda trompeta a partir de una falda peplum del año pasado. Los pasos son sencillos, pero requieren un poco de maña con la aguja y el hilo. Reconozco que últimamente ando un poco corta de tiempo y me echó una mano mi madre para terminar de coserla :P Espero que os guste este diy y lo encontréis útil para dar una nueva vida a esas faldas!
Some weeks ago we spoke about peplum and ruffle hem skirts (here). Finally I decided to create my ruffle hem skirt with a peplum skirt of last year. The steps are easy to follow, but they require you to be patient with needle and thread. I recognize that these days I’m really busy and my mum helped me out to finish sewing it :P I hope you like this diy and that you’ll find it useful to give a second chance to one of those peplum skirts!
Materiales Materials
- Falda con volante peplum/ Peplum skirt
- Tijeras/ Scissors
- Útiles de costura/ Sewing kit
¡Monas a la obra! Monas get to work!
Paso 1. Armarse de valor y meter tijera para ir descosiendo el volante de la parte superior de la falda.
Step 1. Take courage and with scissor start unstitching the ruffle from the skirt.
Paso 2. Medir dónde queremos situar el nuevo volante. En mi caso lo he situado cubriendo la parte de abajo de la falda, sobresaliendo 1 cm. Hilvanamos los fragmentos de tela.
Step 2. Think where do you want to place the ruffle. In my case I place it covering the lowest part of the skirt; 1 cm longer than the skirt. Tack all the parts together.
Paso 3. Cosemos con un tono de hilo similar. ¡Ojo! Si se trata de una falda elástica, el truquillo es coserla con un cojín dentro para que una vez nos la pongamos no se rompa la costura…
Step 3. Sew the parts with a thread in the same color as the skirt. Watch out! If it is an elastic skirt, the trick is to sew it with a cushion inside so when you want to wear it you won’t break it…
Resultado. Una falda de nueva tendencia :) Como siempre, pronto la veréis por el blog porque estoy deseando re-estrenarla! ¿Qué os ha parecido?
