DiY: Argyle studded sweater
Today we show you a simple DiY to implement a pattern argyle sweater. This pattern is usually in three shades, one for the diamonds, another tone to the lines and another one for the background. In our case the sweater has four tones, combining green and grey.
Hoy os dejamos un DiY muy sencillo para aplicar a un jersey de estampado argyle, vamos, los rombos de toda la vida. Este estampado suele ser en tres tonos, siendo uno para los rombos, otro tono para la línea que siluetea rombos y otro de fondo. En nuestro caso el jersey tiene cuatro tonos, combinando verdes y gris.
Materials Materiales
- Sweater/Jersey
- Metal studs/Tachuelas (en este caso en tono dorado/verdoso, de 1,5 cm de lado)

STEP 1. We take the studs extending their fasteners. One advantage of this accessory is that they are very easy to use and do not harm the fabric as they dig between the weaves of the cloth.
PASO 1. Cogemos las tachuelas extendiendo sus pinchos. Una de las ventajas de este accesorio es que son muy fáciles de utilizar y no dañan la tela ya que se clavan en su entramado.
STEP 2. We put the studs in the place were we want and press the fasteners inward to fix them. It´s very important that the fastening bits are properly folded so that they won´t rub our skin. In many cases it is necessary to sew in a cloth interlining to protect us from scratches, but in this case we haven’t put in anything because we always wear the sweater with another garment underneath (and even more pieces of clothing if it´s very cold : P).
PASO 2. Colocamos la tachuela en el lugar que queramos y presionamos los pinchos hacia adentro para que esta quede fijada. Es muy importante que queden bien plegados los pinchos para que nos rocen la piel lo menos posible. En muchos casos es necesario poner una entretela para que nos proteja de posibles arañazos, pero en este caso no hemos puesto nada porque el jersey nos lo ponemos con alguna otra prenda debajo (eso si no son dos porque haga mucho frío :P).
STEP 3. and … Voilà! We have reinvented a classic, bringing it up to current trends.
